At the time of this writing, I had not come across another site
with the same basic theme as this one, and as such decided to go ahead
with it. It's not much; just a basic idea I toyed around with that Lizzard
and PatrickD prodded me into finishing. And besides, there are plenty
of pages devoted to the "busty babes" of anime; I wanted to do something different. I'm partial to these characters specifically because they aren't the "busty babe" type.
There are some questions that I'm sure will come up as people visit this site. This is a list of questions and answers to some anticipated (and some already asked) questions.

Shy, timid, meek, sometimes used in the sense of "unattractive",
"plain", or "dull", but not always. It doesn't necessarily have a bad connotation, as evidenced in the way it is used on this site.
- Does a character have to be a brunette with glasses to be considered mousy?
No, but it helps.
- You profile two Oh My Goddess characters, but not Belldandy. That one should be obvious. Why not?
I like Belldandy. In fact, she's my overall favorite anime/manga character. However, she's hardly "overlooked", and I intended to keep this site limited to that scope.

Any number of reasons. Either I'm not familiar with the series / character, don't particularly like the character for some reason, or feel that the character isn't appropriate to the theme of the site. As the site is now retired, I won't be adding any new profiles.

No idea. It's just something I find attractive. Simple as that.
- Why do the poll pages say I have already voted if I haven't?
It's not easy to determine unique anonymous hosts due to dynamic addressing and/or proxies. People on dynamic IPs, such as dial-up users, may be affected by the method I chose - which is partially based on the host's IP. This can also be the case with people connecting via proxy, as the poll script only sees the IP address of the proxy server and not the originating IP. If it says that you have already voted, but you haven't, it is because someone previously on the same IP with the exact same browser (as far as the "User-Agent" string is concerned) has voted before.
- Why do some of the graphics on the poll pages appear broken?
The poll result graphs are PNGs, as the Perl module (GD::Graph) used to generate them cannot create GIFs due to a patent issue. Older browsers do not have support for this image type and as such can not display them.
- Can I link to your site?
Be my guest! You can either link to the main page, or to an individual character profile if you want to single out a specific character. However, the one thing that I do not allow is direct linking to images hosted here. You can save the images and do whatever you want with them elsewhere, but do not link directly to the ones hosted on the server this page resides on. Directly linking to other sites' images is rude.
If you want to link to these pages and would like to use a banner, you can use one of the following by copying it and placing it wherever you have your webspace and making it a link. Please do not reference the banner on this site as that constitutes a direct image link, and the image will not display properly.
