Megumi Morisato: The Mouse that Roared

Who is Megumi?
Megumi Morisato is the younger sister of Keiichi Morisato, one of the main characters in Oh My Goddess. Megumi doesn't play a very major role in the series as a whole, being a supporting character, but her presence does add a different aspect to the story. She is very much like Keiichi in many ways, but she has a few opposite traits and generally has a more realistic viewpoint. Keiichi often goes to her for advice when he needs to talk about things that he does not want to discuss with Belldandy.

Megumi is generally seen as the "little sister" type character, which she is in regards to Keiichi, but she is also viewed as a leader by other characters such as Sora Hasegawa. She, like Keiichi, does have some seemingly natural leadership abilities stemming from her overall attitude and charisma, but her style is a bit different from his; she tends to be the coach who involves everyone, and Keiichi seems to be more of the one-man-show who tries to accomplish everything by himself.

Megumi is pretty much of average height for a Japanese girl of her age (but is taller than Keiichi), and she has a somewhat attractive but otherwise ordinary appearance. She has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes, and does not typically dress in overtly feminine clothing - with the exception of miniskirts - usually preferring sweatshirts and other forms of unisex "street clothing".

Series Appearances
Megumi appears in the Oh My Goddess OAVs, movie, and manga series. Her character is basically the same in all three versions, although not all that much about her character could be said based on the OAVs or the movie as she played a rather small role in comparison to the manga series.

Special Abilities
Megumi is simply an ordinary human girl, and she has no powers or real special abilities to speak of. However, she does possess some degree of mechanical skill and is fairly intelligent. She, like her brother Keiichi, is a member of the Nekomi Institute of Technology's Motorcycle Club (NIT MCC), and shares a lot of the same interests; she possesses a goodly amount of knowledge on motorcycles and engines in general. She also is a decent softball player, and is the captain of the NIT softball club. Probably one of Megumi's most prominent traits, however, is her determination tinged with a realistic attitude. She will take on challenges and strive to win despite the odds, but she does recognize when she is outclassed and is not too stubborn to ask for help. This is in contrast to Keiichi, who often takes on too much (sometimes against his will), but typically will not request outside help and prefers to try and accomplish large tasks by himself (although he will accept help if offered). She is also fairly observant, but up to this point she still does not know that Belldandy, Urd, Skuld, and Peorth are goddesses, however this fact has been accidentally revealed to her and Keiichi's parents who have had to come to terms with it.
